The Foresight module is primarily developed by our own Synthesis AI, which was developed in a long-standing research project with two academic institutions and FFG Austria and is constantly being expanded and optimized. Based on an enormous amount of data (input), it provides important insights and decision-making bases (output).
AI scouts and data
AI scouts give synthesis AI a clear direction and contextualization to analyze, network, weight and prioritize relevant data on a topic. By using AI scouts, not only are important signals about a scouting topic collected, but they are also prioritized and summarized in so-called future fields based on identified patterns and developments.

Data-based future field identification
The synthesis AI analyzes and clusters extensive signal data on future fields, and evaluates the most important signals with an AI Prio Score. The data on which the Future Field is based and its priority scores enable an accurate assessment of the relevance and potential influence of the Future Field, completely comprehensible and always up-to-date. The identification is carried out 'bottom-up', which means that the entirety of all signals is taken into account and systematically evaluated.

AI-PRIO score
With the AI-Prio Score, you get a well-founded assessment of artificial intelligence with regard to the relevance of individual signals.
The development of the individual signals, the development of the sum of relevant signals, their distribution and occurrence in the respective data categories and their occurrence in relation to a time horizon of, for example, x months, provide information regarding relevancy, probability of occurrence and Time to Impact of technologies and topics.
Bottom up calculation
The future fields and the AI-Prio score are calculated bottom-up. This means that the entirety of all signals is always considered and included in the calculations.
The language models used by AnyIdea take into account not only synonyms but also semantic similarities. The models are continuously updated and brought up to date. In addition to these models, specially developed algorithms are included, which can weight and sort the data, data categories and search results accordingly.
The AI processes documents, articles and signals and extracts the most important information. These are transferred into a multidimensional vector space using a deep learning language model and then transferred into a vector space of lower dimensions, clustered and calculated.
One thematic weighting is calculated based on cosine similarity, timeliness and number of signals, and other textual and semantic similarities.
One temporal weighting For signals at the lowest level, among other things, based on their data categories, for example, scientific publications are classified more theoretically and more future-oriented than startups and, on the other hand, news, due to the increased number and volatility, are weighted less depending on their release date and frequency.
