Foresight: Getting Started

This is what you can expect from AnyIdea Foresight:

1. You have access to millions of data such as trends, micro-trends, startups, news, scientific publications, research projects and patents.
2. You identify strategically relevant trends and developments at an early stage. Made possible by our own developed Synthesis AI (Analytical AI).
3. You can make data-driven and comprehensible decisions.
4. Let your AI scouts scout and research for you. This is how you continuously receive company-specific updates on relevant developments, completely automated.

For the first steps In our Foresight module, we have put together a simple sequence that gives you an overview of our most important functions:

1. view and save macro trends

At the beginning, we recommend to look through our Macro Trends. To do so, click on Foresight in the sidebar. Among the AI scouts, you will find generally valid macro trends. These provide a comprehensive overview of the main drivers and influencing factors of today.

Save relevant macro trends by clicking on the bookmark icon. To gain additional perspectives, we recommend adding more colleagues as managers or admins. Saved macro trends can be found in the "Focus" menu - there they are waiting to be evaluated.

2. specific scouting with AI scouts

AI scouts are ideal if you want to scout specific topics or technologies to identify interesting trends and relevant signals and to monitor them. The scouts research millions of data for you and show you the most relevant, data-based trends, signals and developments. How to create an AI scout:

1. In the sidebar go to Foresight
2. Click on Add AI scout
3. Enter your Scouting question
4. Click on Scout

It may take about 5-10 minutes to calculate the results.

3. save signals & trends

Use the bookmark icon to save relevant signals and trends and add them to a Collection. To gain additional perspectives, we recommend adding more colleagues as managers or admins.

4. evaluate relevant future fields and macro trends

In order to achieve meaningful results, it is important that several stakeholders give their assessment. You can evaluate trends directly in Trend detail, or in the menu Focus. There you will find all saved trends that are intended for evaluation. This is how you get there:

1. In the sidebar go to Focus
2. Click on one of the saved trends
3. Evaluate the trend using the regulators on the right

To keep your review from being affected, other users' reviews will only be shown to you after your own

• Time to Impact
  When will the trend become relevant for our company on the market?
• Competency
  Do we have expertise in the company?
• ‍Potential
  What is the potential of the trend?

‍5. trend portfolio & radar

All evaluated trends can be found in the Focus menu item. These are visualized in the Trend portfolio & trend radar.

💡 Tip:

You now know which trends are most relevant to your company. Now it's time to generate or gather potential solutions and ideas. Here are two options:

• Even in Trend Detail, you can find micro-trends or startups that represent existing, market-related solutions that match the trend. Be inspired by what's possible!
• Find innovative ideas together with colleagues, customers and other relevant stakeholders! You can seamlessly start an Idea campaign directly in a trend detail. Invite more users and get inspired by first ideas.
