Scouting questions

In the scouting process, both open and broad as well as more specific questions can be asked, each with different objectives: While open questions open up a comprehensive understanding and new perspectives, more specific questions aim to find possible solutions and practical answers.

Open questions:

These questions are broad and serve to gain a broad understanding. They are often exploratory and aim to discover trends and new opportunities.

Examples:

  • What could the packaging of the future look like?
  • What are the latest findings and breakthroughs in LiDAR technologies in relation to autonomous driving?
  • How will education develop in the coming years?
  • How will artificial intelligence change agriculture and how can the technology be put to the best possible use?

This type of question is ideal for identifying broad and innovative future fields.

Specific questions:

Specific questions are targeted and look for concrete answers or solutions. They are often problem-oriented, technically specific and aim to find new ideas.

Examples:

  • We are looking for new packaging solutions in the logistics industry to minimize the environmental impact
  • What new technologies and methods could change the way employees are trained in the future?
