Saving in Collections & Focus
Have you discovered relevant trends and signals in scouting?
If you save trends or future fields, you have the option of either marking them for later evaluation under the Focus menu item or saving them in a collection for a specific topic:
- Save for evaluation: Save macro trends or future fields that are to be evaluated. These are saved in the Focus menu item, where they await their detailed evaluation in the trend radar.
- Save in Collections: Use Collections to store all important discoveries, such as macro trends, future fields and signals, centrally and clearly. This makes it easier to access and organize the information you have collected.
Collections can be used for various purposes:
- Strategic innovation and search fields: Store relevant trends and signals to centralize new strategic opportunities and technologies for future fields.
- Team or department-specific topics: Use Collections to collect relevant data for departmental or team-internal projects or topics.
- Collect existing solutions for current projects: Capture micro-trends, relevant companies, patents and other essential data that can directly support and enrich current projects.

How are collections created?
Collections can be created in two ways:
- Directly when saving a trend or signal: Is there no or no suitable collection for the trend or signal? By clicking on "Create collection", you can describe your new collection directly and save the selected content.
- In the Collections menu item: Click on "Create collection".

Can content be saved in multiple collections?
Yes, a signal or trend can appear in several collections. By clicking on the bookmark icon, you can see in which collections the content has already been saved. By clicking on"save", the content is saved in an existing collection, by clicking on "saved" , the content can be removed from the collections again.
What happens to content that I have already saved before Collections existed?
Trends and signals that you have already saved before the release of the collections are assigned to the automatically created Findings collection. From there, you can distribute the content to your own collections.
