Tips for better AI Scout results

We are aware that there are uncertainties, especially with the first AI scouts. In order to achieve the best possible results, we have put together a few guidelines and tips for using AI scouts.‍

1. AI generation of keywords with the help of a question

The choice of keywords is crucial for the output of the AI scouts. To make it easier for you to find keywords, start with a simple question or description of what you are looking for. We will generate suitable keywords for your topic, which you can select. Of course, you can also add your own keywords.

If you have difficulty formulating the question, simply imagine that you are asking a question about the future. These questions can be broader and general or narrower and more specific.

Examples of general scouting questions:
  • "What could the packaging of the future look like"?
  • "How will education develop in the coming years?"
Examples of specific scouting questions:
  • "We are looking for new packaging solutions in the logistics industry to minimize the environmental impact and optimize the efficiency of the supply chain."
  • "What new technologies and methods could change the way employees are trained in the future?"
2. add your own keywords
You can also add your own keywords. Please pay attention to the following:
  • English words only
  • No more than 2 words per keyword
  • Thematically related words
  • No abbreviations like "DACH"
  • No special characters such as "- ;"
keywords, ai, foresight
NO and GO Keywords
In this way, non-matching (NO) keywords can be converted into matching (GO) keywords:
  • Capitalized words e.g. "remote" → "remote"
  • "New Saving Energy Technologies" contains more than two keywords → For example, use "energy saving" and "green energy" as separate terms
  • Special characters like "-" in "remote working" should be avoided → "remote working".
  • KI is a German abbreviation, abbreviations should in most cases be written out in full and in English→ "artificial intelligence"

Note: Give the AI scout a maximum of 5-6 keywords for calculation.

3. iterative scouting

We recommend making the scouting process iterative. Don't start too narrowly and "open up" in the first step. Take a look at the results, discover new topics and let yourself be inspired. You can then gradually select more specific terms in your scouts or focus on one topic.
